London Wins TfL

September 12th, 2011

Transport for London has consolidated its estimated £5 million integrated advertising account into M&C Saatchi. TfL’s decision to centralise the business cements their long running relationship, which began in 2001. Following this news, the partnership will continue for the next 3 years.

TfL's advertising campaigns cover a wide range of work such as the Tube Upgrade Plan, London Buses, Road Safety, Congestion Charging, Oyster, Barclays Cycle Hire as well as local activities to communicate important information to customers via email and other below the line channels.

Miranda Leedham, Head of TfL Group Marketing Communication, said: "The challenge we set agencies looked to establish who could best support TfL during the vital build up to the 2012 Games and during a period of internal change.  The response from all agencies was of an extremely high standard with M&C Saatchi providing the best demonstration that value for money, as well as strategic and creative excellence, is at the heart of all they do".

M&C Saatchi has a separate contract with the Olympic Delivery Authority, to deliver transport campaigns in relation to London 2012.

Tim Duffy, Chairman of M&C Saatchi commented, ‘Not only is this news proof that our previous campaign exceeded the initial brief, but it also reinforces our ability to meet expanding objectives, using the extensive resources available within our group.’

The existing TfL Campaign is creative, colourful and engaging, this opportunity is one that the agency intend to use as a way of demonstrating that you’ve not seen the best of M&C Saatchi yet!
